The Official Rules
1. The grand prize is a 25 page critique from their choice of editors or agent listed below and a $100 Visa Gift Card. The second and third prize winners will receive a 25 page from an agent or editor and some wonderful books.
2. Accepting entries from October 22-29th. Entries MUST be received by October 29th by 11:59 PM EST.
3. Voting goes from November 1-12th.
4. Ten finalists will be announced November 14th. Finalists will have to 7 (seven) days after receiving their prompts to submit another entry for finaling voting.
5. Final voting from November 21-27th.
6. Winners announced December 3rd.
7. The editors and agent donating the 25 page critiques are:
Grace Bradley, editor at Ellora’s Cave
Kevan Lyon, agent with Marsal Lyon Literary Agency
Leis Pederson, editor at Berkley, a division of Penguin Group.
8. Entries can be from 1200 – 1600 words. They will also be holiday themed and will follow the guidelines or prompts set forth by the editor and agent here.
9. A maximum of 3 (three) entries may be submitted per person. Please include a short blurb of the story of no more than 100 words.
10. Genres included are historical, contemporary, paranormal and romantic suspense. The heat level can be anything from Inspy (Inspirational) to Erotic.
11. This contest is open to unpublished authors ONLY.
