What are your reading habits? 131
I have a couple of polls I’d like you to answer. There’s a little something at the end of all this so if you’d like to be “involved” please also comment and include your answers there as well. It’s a very nice surprise.
Along with your answers, if you’d like an ereader, let me know which ereader and why.

I would love any kind of kindle, I am disabled and I love books, I could read them all day. But with the economy the way it is I am having a hard time buying a lot of books like I used to. And to top it off, we don’t have a bookstore located anywhere near my home (I don’t have a car) so I can’t drive anywhere to go to a bookstore. I would love to have a Kindle just to be able to hear about a book and order it off Amazon and be able to start reading it right away. That would be pure joy.

I have a Sony e reader and also an IPad. I love them both but really enjoy my iPad more because it is back lit. I also usually buy paper copies of books because they are a lot if times still cheaper and I can buy more books that way.

I would choose the Kindle Keyboard to give to my Mom. She reads all the time. I love mine and I’m sure she would love it also. Although you can read on it, I don’t consider a Kindle Fire an e-reader since you can do so much more with it. I would love to have one, though.

Although I finally broke down and bought a Nook color earlier this year, I rarely use it. I’m still a paperback/hardcover kind of girl. I love the smell and feel of having a book in my hands. I think that I may have bought only one or two brand new books on it. The rest of my nook library consists of my favorites. Actually, that’s mostly why I bought it. I thought it would be nice to have all my favorites in one place, so that when I go on vacation, I’m not carrying so many books with me. Also since I rarely read contemporary books, except for Toni Blake, I’ll buy them on my nook instead. This way I have more space on my shelves for my Historical romances.

No I don’t own an ereader though its one of the things I wish for real bad! I want one but I just don’t have the money to buy one. If I could pick the perfect ereader I would pick an Ipad but am setting my eye on a kindle fire or kindle touch for now. I purchase about 11-15bks a month and spend between $35-$50. I usually get used ones and only buy very few new releases since most of them are just too expensive for me to get.
I would like Kindle Fire because so many books that I want to read these days are ebooks and reading novels on my laptop + all the time I spend on the so called laptop doing assignments is messing up my eyes more.

I love my Kindle Fire and it would thrill my daughter if I could win one for her upcoming 26th birthday : ) I’m currently unemployed, so a gift like this is beyond my budget at the moment; so I want to thank you for giving me an opportunity to win one for her!

I would love the Kindle Fire. It is the perfect size for taking along on trips for reading

I would love a Kindle Fire, because I am finally getting to where I can sit down and read for fun again. For the last 4 years and 3 months I have been working on getting my Bachelors degree. I finally accomplished that goal!! I have worked full time during this, along with going to school part-time and being a full time Mother and Wife. There has been no time for me, or to do things just because I enjoy doing them. Of course I did read during this time, it just wasn’t for fun and most of the time wasn’t that exciting. My husband lost his job at the end of May (the day after his birthday), so we still don’t have the extra money to be able to go out and buy any eReader. Thank you for the opportunity to win a Kindle Fire. I would be thirlled to have one!

I think I’d prefer a kindle, I don’t see as many free books being offered through Sony or Nook, maybe because I haven’t looked, but Amazon makes it so easy. I have the free reader on my PC.

I have an OLD kindle. When they first came out I had saved for a year and bought myself one for mothers day. It was the best thing I ever bought.
Unfortunately, it is on its last legs. I’m learning the battery doesn’t last forever and my baby is plugged in more than not. I would love to win a new Kindle but am saving my pennies in the mean time.
I travel all the time and a kindle saved me from carrying a half ton of books each time I travel.
Thank you for the wonderful contest.

I love my nook, however I would like to have a kindle just for the kindle graph app. I really wish nook would offer it. I use the nook and kindle apps on my iPad and defintely prefer nook. I guess it’s because I like to know where I am in a book, ie how many pages left in a chapter and what page I am on.

My sister has a Kindle and she says how easy it is to use. I am in a couple of the author groups and the majority of everyone says how much they like the Kindle Fire, so that is the I quess I would like. Of course to win a Kindle or Nook would be a thrill to have. I probably have over 300 paperback books and it is an addiction with me. I am usually reading at least 2 books at the same time. One I take to work to read during lunch hour and the other usually in my room, but then sometimes I have a 3rd one by my chair in the living room. Yeppers have it bad. Thank you for a chance to win one.

I have recently upgraded from the original Nook (version 1) to a Nook Simple Touch. But I have been unhappy with it since the 3G service is no longer available to the Nook. I only upgraded because I wore out the touch screen on the 1st edition model. I would like to have a Kindle Touch because I have discovered that Amazon tends to offer more free and older books that Barnes & Noble does.

I love my e-reader. I have a nook & adore it! I love being able to trade books with friends and family on the other side of the country. Many of my coworkers and I read the same types of books and routinely raid each-other’s libraries. I know there are some books available on kindle that Barnes & Noble doesn’t have. I’d love a kindle, but I just can’t justify buying 2 devices!

I love my Kindle Fire and I am happiest with it. That said, I would love to give one of the B&N products a try or have a Kindle Touch for my oldest son to use

I have an iPad and really love it because it is backlit, and I am able to read at night easily, but it does get heavy to hold it for very long, esp. with my arthritis. I also have an iPod Touch, but it’s a little small. I would like to get something in-between, like the rumored iPad mini, or an improved version of the Kindle Fire.

I’d like a Kindle ereader since so many books can be read on that device.

i just thought it was too weird. i’m used to reading throughout the day and especially at night before i sleep. i was used to flipping pages. i have a kindle for pc on my computer but don’t have access to it because its shared. i would like a kindle e -reader because i’m familiar with kindle. the reason i like it is because i get most of my books from amazon kindle bookstore. i like to check out their free books too. a lot of them are novellas but i find that being a mom, reading a story from start to finish in 15 or 20 minutes is awesome!

I would love to have Nook because I buy most of my books from Barnes and Noble! Right now I read e books on an computer and it is hard to sit at the computer and read, it is very hard on my back. I would love to snuggle up in my favorite chair with an e-reader that is the size of a book.

Any eread for me would be great. I have many paper books & have just started my ebook collection this year. I love to read. Being a working mum of 2 little girls, I read when ever I can & where ever I can. After a busy day working & looking after my 2 beautiful girls (& husband), I sometimes wish I had more quiet time to read my favourite books. If I come across a book I can’t put down, I spend my time reading instead of resting. Sometimes pay for it the next day being more tired, but I feel it’s worth it. I won’t let that stop me from doing what I still have to do. Historical are my favourite, 80%. The others are all different from Jane Austen to the Twilight Saga to Olivia Dare & Megan Hart…..to name afew.

I would love a Kindle Fire. I would give my Nook to hubby then.

I have an Amazon Kindle, but I would love an upgrade to the Kindle Fire.

I would love an e reader, being that a lot of the authors I like seem to be having more and more e books that are not in print. Another reason is that e books ten to be cheaper. Also, the fact that I read so many books that I sometimes forget what I have read when I go to the store and then buy a book I have already read. I am unsure though how it would hold up as when I read in bed and fall asleep I tend to drop my book, written books don’t break when you drop them. Well unless I get one I guess I will never know. I need to go for now, as I have 10 more pages in my current book to read and another book waiting for me to start it. : )
