I want BREAKFAST IN BED

Lately, I’ve been blogging about some of my favourite plotlines. Well, Robin Kaye’s BREAKFAST IN BED definitely falls in my top five. Actually, it combines two of my favourites; friends to lovers, and a heroine who has secretly always had a ‘thing‘ for the hero. Of course now I can’t read BREAKFAST IN BED until I read ROMEO, ROMEO, and TOO HOT TO HANDLE, as BREAKFAST IN BED is the third in Robin Kaye’s Domestic Gods series.

It’s the kind of book I’d like to share with the visitors of my Blog and that’s why Sourcebooks is giving away 10 (ten) copies of BREAKFAST IN BED. To enter to win, email your name and address to theseason@historicalromancereleases.com or click the image below to go to the entry page on The Season website. Winners will be announced Friday, January 15th.

**Open to US residents

So tell me, do you like, want, or have a man who knows his way around the kitchen and does housework? If you comment AND enter to win BREAKFAST IN BED, you will also eligible to win 1 of 2 copies of my debut historical, SINFUL SURRENDER. :)

I would love to have a man in my life who shared my interest in cooking, cookbooks, food, wine and being a fabulous foodie! To me, that’s all a part of enjoying life to the fullest and making a house a home.

  2. Angelique says:

I think it would be great to have a man who know’s his way around the kitchen! I like cooking, but it’s a lot of work to do it every night. It would be great to share the responsibility with someone!

  3. Jamie says:

I think that there is nothing sexier then a man who knows how to cook. and if he’ll clean up after himself even better. plus who doesnt want a guy around to help with the hard stuff like those pesky pickle jars that i can never open.

  4. Amy says:

I love a man who knows his way around the kitchen, and I’m lucky enough to have one. In fact, he just fixed me breakfast this morning, although it wasn’t in bed…

  5. Kit Donner says:

I’d love to have a man who knows his way around the kitchen and does housework and who treats me like a goddess. Where is he?!!

  6. Beverley says:

LOL. Kit I just had to laugh. It reminded me of Charlotte in Sex and the City when she said, “I’ve been dating for over 15 years, WHERE IS HE?”

It would be nice to have a guy who would cook and clean and not think he’s doing you this huge favour when he does.

well, i think thats sound great idea. having a man who knows the way around the kitchen, so we cant spent more time together for little while cooking together, and clean up everything. its sounds romantic as long as we do it with love!

I have read the first 2 books in this series and I have Breakfast In Bed on the TBR pile and am very much looking forward to it. I love Robin’s books her heros are to die for and I love the way they are so neat and tidy.

    Have Fun

Connie~ I’m so with you there. Even though I wasn’t shopping for a husband, when I went shopping for a long-term boyfriend, I wanted a man who could pull his own weight. When my DH and I were dating, he used to help me clean house on Saturdays. The day my mom and I walked into the living room and found him holding the huge couch up with one hand and vacuuming under it, my mother turned to me and said “Marry him.” So I did.

Renee~ Does he share the cookies? If so, I’d say he was a keeper! I do love cookies.

Gwynlyn~ Thanks so much for dropping by, Sweetie! Yes, you knew me when. Now you can tell everyone about us singing show tunes in Dallas, New Jersey, Washington… Thanks for the kind words. XOXO

Elaine~ Exactly! Women who have significant others who share the domestic chores have less stress and a better sex life. It’s a proven fact. When I tell my DH that, he goes and cleans the bathtub and fixes me a nice bubble bath. *grin* He’s a smart guy, my DH.

Debra~ Dishes are good, but remember, old dogs can learn new tricks if there’s incentive.

  10. Fedora says:

I’m so blessed to *have* one, and believe me, I’m thankful for him every day! In fact, I’m a little embarrassed that he seems to be better at all those domestic things than I am ;)

  11. I love a man who knows his way around the kitchen in fact in our family the guys all are good cooks and great in the kitchen even the in-laws and ex’s … as for housework well if they do any that is a plus in their favor and if they do a lot even better. Love guys that know how to clean BUT DO NOT GO OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE on it. Thanks for the contest as well.

My husband does a lot of housework and all the cooking. He loves to be in the kitchen or at the grill. And I get to enjoy all the fruits of his labor. *g*.
I have health issues that keep me from kneeling or scrubbing, etc. He’s extremely compassionate and helpful. He’s definitely a keeper!

  13. Lynette says:

I have a husband who occassionally does housework but acts like he does it all! He’ll put laundry in the washer but doesn’t put it in the dryer, or put it in the dryer and leave it in there. He’ll put dishes in the dishwasher but not turn the dishwasher on. He’ll take clean dishes out the dishwasher but not the silverware (he has an aversion to silverware I think), which inevitably leads to clean and dirty dishes being mixed up in the dishwasher and having to be re-washed.

He does vaccuum, fold towels, mow the yard, and shovel the walk so I guess I’ll keep him. LOL.

  14. Ester Lopez says:

Old dogs CAN learn new tricks! The thing is, they have to WANT to. My DH was very Undomesticated when we married. To him, housework and cooking were a woman’s job. But after he retired, he saw how hard I worked (weird schedules) and how much I had to keep up with at home. Plus we had several “conversations” about what made each of us happy. Now, I find him cooking or grilling dinner for the two of us, or sometimes dust-mopping the floors. I’m blown away every time he does that! Now, if only I can get him to cook breakfast for both of us and serve it in bed…

  15. Cheri Oggy says:

My husband is one of the best cooks around! When I invite anyone for dinner, I always am asked who is cooking! That should tell you something.lol He is also a whiz with housecleaning. He will do anything asked of him. We have been together for 30 years and he is only getting better not older!!!

  16. My husband knows his way around the kitchen and is great at housework. We often work as a team to pull things together and it is so much fun to work along with him. We’ve been together for 27 wonderful years!!
